COLLABORATION, COALITION AND INTERCONNECTION
As climate activists, we know climate justice includes finding ways to collaborate with communities most impacted by climate change. The fight for justice, to end systemic racism, to solve the climate crisis, and to build collaboration, coalition and interconnection are all part of building the better world we want.
August's Climate Justice monthly meeting featured renowned environmental justice advocates, Carl Anthony, Co-Director, Breakthrough Communities and Paloma Pavel, PhD, President, Earth House Center and Co-Director, Breakthrough Communities was moderated by Teron McGrew, our chapter’s Climate Justice Co-Chair.
Carl Anthony is an American architect, regional planner, and co-director of Breakthrough Communities Project, with Paloma Pavel, PhD -- a project dedicated to building multiracial leadership for sustainable communities in California. In this video, climate justice action collaboration, coalition and interconnection strategies are discussed and interconnection solutions are highlighted on how “Black Lives Matter,” and “Just Transition” are paramount to a green, sustainable and healthy community transition.
