As a chapter member, you have access to key resources in our Member Resource Library (under renovation! check back soon) where you will find essential files like our Bay Area Chapter strategic plan, created by the chapter's senior leadership team.  It is an aspirational document that outlines the organizational design of the chapter and its goals and objectives for the coming year.

Develop your skills as a climate presenter, educator, and activist

Increasingly, many of our new chapter members have joined us without having previously attending a Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training. These trainings, delivered personally by Mr. Gore and his team, are held at different times throughout the year in locations across the globe.

As you become active in the chapter, you might consider attending one of these free trainings and become a Climate Leader.  

Our chapter also holds half day presentation “boot camps” that serve as a local kickstart for potential presenters, providing tips and techniques for giving climate presentations in your community. You’ll receive an announcement with more information and dates to learn how to give a climate talk in your community.

Deepen your knowledge of climate change

There are a variety of ways to learn more about climate change.  One of the best is to watch a video recording of former Vice President and current Climate Reality Project Chairman, Al Gore give his Truth-in-Ten slide presentation.

Created in 2018, the presentation is a condensed and updated version of the famous slide presentation Mr. Gore gave in the film, Inconvenient Truth in 2006. It serves as a succinct introduction to the climate crisis and its causes, consequences, and current solutions.  

Order and review An Inconvenient Sequel and read the section titled “Truth to Power” starting on page 176, about what you can do personally to be part of the solution to the climate crisis.
