Our Community Action Teams provide ways for chapter members to take community-focused climate action through Climate Justice, public climate presentations, business engagement, youth action, regional organizing, and more.

CLIMATE JUSTICE TEAM
The Climate Justice team works on strengthening the chapter’s work and outcomes to achieve climate justice. The team meets monthly to discuss business, initiatives, goals, and to plan events to educate our members.

Y-CAT & YOUNG ADULT TEAMS
Join a team of your like-minded peers to make a difference in 2021! Help to realize the power of collective youth climate action and expand our voice for climate justice in the Bay Area.
The Youth Climate Action Team (Y-CAT) is for high school age youth, between the ages of +/- 14 and 18.
The Young Adult Engagement Team is targeted for people between the ages of 18 and 35.

PRESENTATIONS TEAM
The Presentations Team helps to deliver successful Climate Reality presentations across the Bay Area, including bootcamps and other training initiatives. To date, we’ve delivered well over one thousand presentations to various audiences.

ALLIANCES
Plans, initiates, and manages communications from, outreach to and alliance-building with other non-profit climate organizations with shared goals to enhance effectiveness and provide additional opportunities for engagement, education, and solutions.

BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT TEAM
This Team engages the Bay Area business community to take action on climate change and sustainability efforts. We promote change by educating and encouraging organizations on the need to act, inspiring employees to speak up in their organizations, and lobbying companies to use their influence to promote climate policy.
