OUR CLIMATE MOMENT: LET'S GET TO WORK!

Climate Reality Bay Area has already embraced Our Climate Moment!

Our Policy Action Leadership Team (PALT) has set our chapter’s initial goal for this campaign:

Meet with every Congressional office in our geographic footprint at least once in 2021 with a timely ask related to a Climate Reality Project-identified priority.

We see this as a great start for our response to this new and exciting campaign. President Biden has already demonstrated deep commitment and understanding of the climate crisis. Now he needs all of us, those in the climate movement, to support a progressive climate legislative agenda, one to get the world on track to meet IPCC goals by 2050.

Congress will need a push to pass legislation that promotes clean energy, an end to fossil fuel production, zero carbon transportation, a just transition, a commitment to building green communities, and reclaims our place in climate international leadership. It is the advocacy groups, the nonprofits working on this issue, who will step up and lead the way.

Climate Reality Project will be one of those groups. With over 30,000 trained climate leaders and an international focus, we are well positioned to make a meaningful impact at the federal level.
