CLIMATE REALITY BAY AREA CHAPTER’S 1ST ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION

Climate Reality Bay Area Chapter held its 1st Annual Black History Month’s Celebration:  An Evening with UC Davis Vice Chancellor Renetta Garrison Tull, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion was a hallmark for humankind.

Recapturing a vibrant, inspiring, and joyful evening, Vice Chancellor Renetta Garrison Tull provided climate reality leaders, climate activists, grassroots environmental justice leaders, policymakers,  and educators a refreshing and timely overview of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion(DE&I).  If you missed the live webinar, you may view the recording here.

The audience was inspired by this unique opportunity to build a more just world and to make themselves better people by using Vice Chancellor Tull’s words about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I).

Most importantly, however, the recognition of Vice Chancellor Tull’s humanitarian accomplishments and awards as an African-American woman and leader in academia was the paradigm shift the audience came searching for.  The audience cried out for more time to listen to her intellectual thoughts, opinion, and work experience.

We thank Vice Chancellor Renetta Garrison Tull for offering ways to live and interact effectively with a diversity of people in diverse contexts and to foster equity, inclusion, and justice.
